Carwyn is General Manager for Venture Wales in Swansea and West Wales. He is an associate of the Institute of Bankers, a member of the Institute of Business Consulting and qualified to NVQ level 4 in Business Advice.

 

A former Area Director for HSBC Bank plc in Swansea with responsibility for Corporate Lending, Branch banking and 185 staff. His 32 year career with the bank included roles as Senior Corporate Banker with a portfolio of customers including major corporate and high growth businesses within most sectors including manufacturing, property and construction, distribution, service industry , tourism and leisure and agriculture.

 

For the last 5 years Carwyn has run his own consultancy business working closely with growth Pre and Post start enterprises specialising in Business Planning, and Financial Forecasting. He has been successful in securing funding for clients from both public and private sector sources including the Welsh Assembly Government and major Banks.

 

A fluent Welsh speaker interests include rugby and golf.
