Virtual sports shop's a winner

COMPUTER-WHIZ Michael Prosser ran his own virtual sports shop to scoop a top business award.

The 18 year-old A-Level student at Barry Comprehensive beat off competition from across Wales in the computer challenge Venture Game Wales.

Pupils run their own sports store, ahve to manager the hiring and firing of staff, stock control and budget forecasting in the web-bassed game launched by Microsoft and business support agency Venture Wales.

Michael's store, which was based on the Cardiff Blues rugby team, was the best performing store in South Wales out of 2000 created since the launch in October

Michael, said "I hope to go on to study business at University so while this came as a shock I'm please I've done so well."
