A former regional director of HSBC has joined support agency Venture Wales as general manager for Swansea and West Wales. Carwyn Richards, who has swapped the world of high finance to help grassroots enterprise move through the recession, believes the biggest challenge is to create a strong culture of entrepreneurship. "I'll work with small bussinesses throughout West Wales to help them with business planning, financial forecasting and general business support, advice and encouragement. While we face demanding times firms must remain positive," he said.
